This article shows you how to automatically configure a DDNS hostname for DAHUA and HIKVISION devices directly on the website.
To run the automatic setup, please prepare the following information:
After the hostname/domain is created, go to the domain information section, find Automatic DDNS Configuration, tick the steps, then click Start Setup.
Fill in the required information on the website, then click “Run Automatic Configuration”.
If the setup is successful, you will see a notification like the one below:
After the process finishes, wait 1–2 minutes and check whether the website shows a notification that the IP address has been updated. If you see the update message, the setup is officially successful.
The current address is shown under: Current IP, as in the image below.
Note: For a small number of DAHUA recorders/cameras, the setup may show a success message but the device does not actually update its IP to the server. If this happens, please try another configuration method. Typically, these models do not provide DDNS options such as DynDNS or No-IP in the DDNS settings.
