This guide shows you how to set up DDNS using the Auto Registration feature available on DAHUA cameras and recorders.
Warning: This is a newer setup method that is still being developed, and it is not an official/standard DDNS configuration method. Use this option only if you have tried other methods and your hostname still does not update to the new IP address.
Getting started:
Step 1: After creating your hostname, go to the hostname management/details section and find “Dahua (Auto Registration)” to view the required configuration information.
Step 2: Sign in to your DAHUA device via the web interface. Go to Settings and look for Auto Registration (on some models, it may appear as “Automatic Registration”, “Auto”, or similar). Refer to the screenshots below for a clearer view.
Enter the provided information into the device settings as shown in the examples. For the Server Address field, if your device does not allow entering dyn.fastddns.net, use the IP address 95.217.161.80 instead (as provided in Step 1).
Good luck!
